Ward Luau/Darren's New Job

Ow ow! My handsome Hawaiian Warrior!
Pretty Hawaiian girls and warriors.

Blowing through the sea shells. (Darren is on the left)
Our ward had such a great luau on Saturday night. It was a fundraiser for the scouts (Darren is a scout leader) for camp. The turn out was great and Darren went to sooo much work to help put this on. Brad Anderson allowed us to use his huge grill to make the chicken and Rowan pretty much grilled all of the chicken. He is an angel. It was so good and the performance was great. Darren impressed me with his Hawaiian moves up there on stage. It was so fun to watch him and the girls did such a good job as well. Hula dancing is so pretty and graceful. It was a very successful evening and I am happy to have a husband that is always willing to magnify his church calling.
P.S. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry, it was hard to get a good one when they were dancing.

----------DARREN GOT A NEW JOB----------

A couple weeks ago Brad Anderson called Darren out of the blue. He asked about Darren's current job at Sears and wondered if he would be willing to take a job for him instead. We prayed about it and felt like it was the right decision for us. This job has enabled us to no longer do summer sales jobs and also allows the experience for growing into a career path. Darren has been looking into becoming a engineer and with this new job he is currently working right under a Civil Engineer. We have been praying to know what degree and career path Darren should take for quite a while now and we feel as if this was an answer to our prayers. We are so excited and so far Darren has loved it! He is learning more and more everyday!
P.S. He is still working for Sears but only 1 or 2 nights a week.
